Cacao - Beyond Sinful Pleasure

Chocolate is one of my favorite soul-food flavor that often to give the naughty pleasure. When the chocolate melts so creamy and smooth mouth feel euphoric. From a psychological perspective, the chocolate is proven scientific turn their senses and help launch the endorphins (happy hormones that is). In this sense, the chocolate is in fact a soul-food that can help elevate your mood and feelings. Of course, one can not consume too much chocolate. The chocolate that we consume is full of added sugar and not too friendly to our overall health. This is not the 'true' chocolate and the 'true' chocolate is real chocolate is bitter. However, the chocolate in its raw form of cocoa is a natural superfood. This is not a fact that our researchers have recently discovered. This fact has been around since the Mayan and Aztec civilization! Raw cocoa is sacred to the Mayans thousands of years ago. All real chocolate is cocoa and eaten raw in its pure form is extremely rich in antioxidants and magnesium. Cocoa is a natural source of antioxidants - polyphenols, catechol, gallic acid and epicatechin. These antioxidants are essential deneutralize free radicals and help to provide significant protection to cardiovascular health. Studies have also shown that cocoa can provide more than 21 times the free radical protection of green tea. Of course, the real bitter chocolate is hard to swallow but when combined with other superfoods like blueberries, strawberries, ACAI berries, berry and coffee in the Berry Superfood radical, real chocolate is much more palatable.
